Private Client Standards Have Evolved & Services Expanded
Private client lawyers are new terms to the Australian legal market. Generally, restricted to lawyers who work for the wealthy and high net worth clients.
Now Goldman brings private client services and expertise to ALL of its clients, irrespective of wealth.

Who expect a higher level of knowledge and service from their legal team
Traditional & New Private Clients
There are two relatively distinct groups of clients:
- Traditional or ‘old money’ clients including landed gentry and their estates, alongside organisations such as the National Trust and English Heritage.
- Entrepreneurial or ‘new money’ clients, who have made their money through business, for example.
Old money clients have tended to be more risk-averse in their attitude in contrast to the new money clients who generally have a more commercial approach to risk.
The latter, has led to an increase in international nature of high net worth private client work, with firms using complex trusts and offshore tax structures as vehicles to preserve wealth through minimizing tax liabilities.
There is also a contentious side of this work as disputes arise.

Private client needs are diverse.
Our founder and principal has been very fortunate to work with private clients for over 30 years. Tagged as a junior leading lawyer, relocated to London from Sydney.
This early global experience with high net worth clients let directly to the skills and services now offered by Goldman Law.
All these years later we continue to expand and grow with our clients meeting their needs in global tax or sensitive local family law matters.
30 years later, we still love to work with clients globally in meeting all their legal needs, in global tax planning or sensitive local family law matters.
